"Diaz's exploration of AI in his upcoming book transports us through time to glimpse a potential future where the treasured creativity inherent in humanity could be diminished." - by ai
"Iconoclasm: AI and the Devaluation of Humanity's Achievements," a book that delves into the impact of artificial intelligence on the arts, and explores the potential erosion of meaning, aesthetics, talent, and uniqueness that we hold dear.
Genevive Zacconi was invited to co-write the book in recognition of her objective insights on art and art history, as well as her incredible talent as a fine artist and oil painter. Together, we explore the ramifications of AI-generated art from an artist's perspective, addressing topics such as post-humanism, AI metaphysics, pro-AI and anti-AI views, and the path that led us to the brink of this transformative era.
We both share our concerns about the potential decline of our civilization due to the technology we've developed with altruistic intentions. However, we have driven ourselves to exploit technology and AI for nefarious purposes such as censorship and population control. In the book, we also collaborate with AI to create art, examining the human-AI partnership that may dominate the next few years until we are no longer needed.
"Iconoclasm: AI and the Devaluation of Humanity's Achievements" presents a compelling examination of the convergence of AI and the arts from an artist's viewpoint, unmasking the stark truths about its potential consequences." —Quote by AI
GL Golden, Bot Developer, praises Diaz's work, saying, "Iconoclasm is a mixture of Diaz's unique 'illustrative' style contrasted with machine-generated, modern renaissance oil paintings depicting a world of the grotesque and apocalyptic. Authored by an AI-Human partnership, it marks a new age of human-augmented creativity.”
Gurpreet Singh Padda MD, MBA, applauds Diaz's prescient understanding of the evolving relationship between humans and AI, which is evident in his artwork, often featuring humanoid figures interacting with machines or technology.
Padda said, “Diaz's exploration of AI in iconoclasm challenges viewers to question the very nature of what it means to be human and the presumptive artistic expression of humanity we cherish, separating us from mechanistic computing tools. By re-contextualizing established symbols and icons, he encourages viewers to question their assumptions and engage in a deeper dialogue about the ideas they represent.”
Iconoclasm: AI and the Devaluation of Humanity's Achievements is a testament to the possibilities that arise when human creativity encounters artificial intelligence, evoking an unsettling yet mesmerizing sense of wonder.
Padda shared a final thought about the book: “Diaz encapsulates the intricacy of human emotion with exceptional accuracy, stirring feelings of joy, sadness, fear, and all the emotions in between.”
